M.G. Mercer, attorney

Biographic Summary:  

Founder & attorney, Matt Mercer, represents a variety of clients, including small business owners, contractors, creditors, materialmen, multi-state corporations, homeowners, landlords, consumers, and individuals, with a variety of litigation, pre-litigation, appellate and corporate law issues. Mr. Mercer has both jury and bench trial experience and has successfully tried and won court cases in several states.  He has many years of experience representing clients in mediation, arbitration, trials, and appeals. Mr. Mercer passed the Bar Exam in 4 states and is in his second decade of practicing law. 
 
Matt Mercer has a great deal of experience drafting contracts for various businesses across many different industries and has negotiated contract terms and conditions, business deals, and legal matters for many years. As an attorney representing businesses in commercial collection cases, he has recovered millions of dollars for clients in cash and property. 
 
Matt Mercer is a Christian and, along with his family, regularly attends church.  He presently serves on the Board of Governors of St. Johns Academy Private School and served as president during the 2016-2017 academic year. 

He has an interest in astronomical viewing of planets, nebulae, and galaxies, and his astro-photography has been published in an International science journal.

In addition to his full-time law practice, for over 4 years Mr. Mercer hosted a weekly radio show "The Matt Mercer Show - Helping You Make Sense Out of the Law" broadcast locally on both AM and FM stations.  From 2013 to 2015, he hosted Matt Mercer Live! on AM600 The Answer (WBOB) and 100.3 FM, out of Jacksonville, Florida, broadcasting in 20,000 watts.  He previously served as an adjunct faculty member at Flagler College Business School teaching Business Law.
